Title: The effect of specific futsal preparatory period on the body composition of Bohemians Praha 1905 futsal players Objectives: The main objective of the study was to analyze changes in selected parameters of body composition of the Bohemians Praha 1905 futsal players, which occurred due to specific futsal preparatory period. Methods: The work has the character of an empirical research, the main method is observation. A total of 9 players (1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders and 5 forwards) who played for the Bohemians Praha 1905 futsal club, took part in the research. Basic anthropometric parameters (body height, body weight, BMI) were measured. The BIA method (BIA-Tanita MC 980) was used to obtain input and output data for the analysis of changes in body composition parameters. Statistical data processing (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, tables and graphs) performed in Microsoft Excel. Results: The results of our study show that during the specific futsal preparatory period there were changes in most of the body composition parameters. The only parameter that did not change was fat mass, the value of which remained the same even after a specific futsal preparatory period (12.4 kg). We noted the most significant differences in body weight, which decreased on average by 1.4 kg, and in muscle mass,...

Hanko, Michal ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Body composition of the Czech national snowboardcross team Objectives: The aim of this work is to measure and evaluate body composition as a factor influencing sports performance in the Czech snowboardcross team and comparison with relevant data of foreign authors. Methods: We evaluated body composition data using whole-body BIA analysis (Bodystat 1500 monofrequency analyzer in the field), anthropometric examination (height, weight) and waist-hip ratio, indicating the risk of cardiovascular disease. At the same time, we recorded the age and length of training of snowboarders. We used statistical operations (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minima and maxima, statistical and material significance) for data analysis. We also compared the data with the relevant results of national teams of Italy and the USA (Vernillo et al., 2016; Sands et al., 2021) and data from the untrained population (Schutz et al., 2002; Abe et al., 2018). Results: We found that the average BMI of the Czech national team in snowboarding is 24.49 ± 1.8 kg/m2 (men) and 23.95 ± 0.94 kg/m2 (women). The mean WHR is 0.8 ± 0.03 (males) and 0.72 ± 0.04 (females). The Czech representatives significantly (p ˂ 0.05) and materially (d ≥ 0.8) differ significantly from the untrained population in FFMI values of 21.6 ± 1.1 kg/m2...
Comparison of methods of basal metabolism determination
Kosková, Martina ; Coufalová, Klára (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Comparison of individual methods of basal metabolism determination Objectives: The aim of the work is to compare the individual methods of basal metabolism. These values were measured by indirect calorimetry, plethysmography, bioelectric impedance and predictive equations. Methods: The research was attended by 31 people, including eight men and twenty-three women. All participants of my research were aged 21-30 years. None of the participants was a professional athlete, they were all healthy and none of the women were pregnant or had menstruation. The indirect calorimetry, bioelectronics impedance device Tanita MC - 980 and BOD POD were used to collect the data. Basal metabolic rates were calculated from the prediction equations by Harris & Benedict, Fleisch's equation and Schofield's equation using measured anthropometric values. Results: The results of the methods that have been used for this group of people vary, but the difference is not significant. If we choose as a reference method indirect calorimetry, we can't replace it by any other method. The results for other methods are not significantly different, so we can replace one method with another, except indirect calorimetry. From calculations, we also found out that fat free mass greatly influences the results of basal metabolic rate...

Ploc, David ; Kinkorová, Ivana (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
Title: Body composition analysis of AC Sparta Prague futsal players Objective:The main objective of this work is to evaluate selected body composition parameters of the AC Sparta Prague futsal players. Methods: A total of 13 players participated in the research (2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders and 6 forwards). Bioelectric impedance analysis using BIA-Tanita MC 980 was used to determine body composition. The monitored parameters were body height, body weight, BMI and other body composition parameters. Statistical data processing (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, tables and graphs) performed in Microsoft Excel. Results: The players of AC Sparta Praha as a whole do not have a typical body composition for top athletes. The mean age of the measured team was 28.2 ± 5.7 years. The average body height of the measured team was 178.1 ± 5.8 cm. The total average weight of the measured set was 79.4 ± 7.6 kg. It has been found that on average, attackers have the highest percentage of body fat and muscle mass. Keywords: futsal, body composition, player posts, bioelectric impedance

Brožová, Eva ; Kinkorová, Ivana (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Assessment of muscle imbalances in handball players Objectives: The main aim of this work was to evaluate the occurrence of muscle imbalances in the handball players of the first - league team of woman by means of the kinesiological analysis and segmental analysis from the BIA method. Methods: In modified kinesiological analysis, we focused on assessing posture and examining shortened muscles. To segmental analysis by the BIA method, we used the Tanita MC - 980 apparatus, where we first assessed the asymmetry in the distribution of muscle mass on individual body segments. Results: In 80 % of the total, the upper cross syndrome was recorded. Lower cross syndrome was found in 67 % of the players. The results of segmental muscle mass analysis using BIA showed a statistically insignificant difference (p > 0.05) in the distribution of muscle mass in the upper limbs (average difference of 0.05 kg) and a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) in the distribution of muscle mass at the lower of the limbs (average difference of 0.11 kg). The following significant correlations were found for the whole population (n = 15): m. Iliopsoas right and the amount of muscle mass (BIA) on right upper limb (r = 0.549), iliopsoas on the right and the amount of muscle mass (BIA) on left upper limb (r =...

Title: Body analysis of street hockey players in categories U15-U18 Objectives: The main object of this thesis is to determine body analysis of street hockey players playing Extra League in categories younger and older juniors using bioelectrical impedance analysis. Measured data should be compared amonit groups of players aged 15 a 16, 16 and 17, 17 and 18. Methods: In the thesis are used sometometric methods to gather antropometrical parameters and also the bioelectrical impedance analysis of the body structure using the device Tanita BC 418 MA to determine body structures of individual players. Results: We measured and compared selected parameters of body structures of street hockey players (n = 101) in age groups of 15, 16, 17 and 18 years. The differences in the amount of body fat, body fat percentage, free fat mass and bodily fluids amonit individual groups of street hockey players were monitored. Body fat percentage and free fat mass do not depends on age. Amount of body fat and free fat mass depends on age. Ice hockey players are taller and have more fat free mass. In comparison with the antropological research of the players in the same age from the year 2001 we discovered, that present-day players are, on average, 3,68 cm shorter, but they are, on average, 1,5 kg heavier, which is caused...
